Ultimate Steak Stir-Fry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup matchstick carrots
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions, sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil

For the Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 clove minced garlic

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Steak:

    • Thinly slice the flank steak across the grain.
    • In a bowl, combine the steak slices with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch.
    • Let the mixture marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a separate bowl, mix together 1/2 cup soy sauce, red pepper flakes, brown sugar, ginger, and minced garlic.
    • Set the sauce aside.
  3. Cook the Steak:

    • Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
    • Cook the steak slices in batches if necessary, frying each side for about 2 minutes to avoid overcrowding the pan.
    • Once cooked, remove the steak from the pan.
  4. Cook the Vegetables:

    • In the same pan, add the bell peppers, onions, carrots, and broccoli florets.
    • Stir-fry the vegetables for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Combine and Finish:

    • Return the steak to the pan and pour in the prepared sauce.
    • Stir everything together and cook for another minute.
    • Add the green onions just before serving.
