Slow Cooker Barbecued Beef
Ingredients
- 2 cups (500ml) barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper (optional for added spice)
- 2 kg (4 pounds) baby back pork ribs
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
- Place the baby back ribs in the slow cooker. Pour half of the sauce mixture over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on the low setting for 7-9 hours or on the high setting for 3-5 hours, depending on your schedule and desired tenderness. Reserve the remaining sauce in the refrigerator for later use.
- Once the ribs are tender and nearly falling apart, carefully transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Be gentle, as the meat will be very tender and may easily fall off the bone.
- Combine half of the cooking juices from the slow cooker with the reserved sauce. Baste the ribs with this mixture.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (220°C). Place the ribs in the oven and broil for about 10 minutes, or until the edges begin to char and crisp.
- Serve the ribs hot, accompanied by the remaining sauce.
Enjoy your delicious, slow-cooked barbecued beef ribs!
