Parfait aux fraises

Ingredients:

– 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
– 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon lemon juice
– 1 cup heavy whipping cream
– 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup granola or crushed graham crackers
– Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

PREPARATION:

  1. Prepare the Strawberries:
    – In a bowl, combine the diced strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice.
    – Stir well and let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes to macerate.
  2. Prepare the Whipped Cream:
    – In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until it starts to thicken.
    – Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
  3. Assemble the Parfaits:
    – In serving glasses or bowls, start by adding a layer of the strawberry mixture at the bottom.
    – Follow with a layer of granola or crushed graham crackers.
    – Add a layer of whipped cream over the granola.
    – Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of strawberries on top.
  4. Garnish and Serve:
    – Garnish each parfait with a fresh mint leaf.
    – Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing strawberry parfaits!
