Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet Recipe for the Perfect Dinner
Ingredients
- 2 to 4 petite steaks
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 to 4 russet potatoes or 4 to 6 baby potatoes
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened (1 tablespoon for each steak and 2 tablespoons for cooking potatoes)
- 1 tablespoon Italian herbs
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Season the steaks on both sides with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine the softened butter, garlic, and herbs.
- Heat a skillet on the stove over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
- Sear each steak for 2 to 3 minutes per side, then set them aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the potatoes and sauté with a little salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Return the steaks to the skillet, arranging them on one side and the potatoes on the other.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the steaks reach your desired doneness.
- Once done, remove the skillet from the oven and top the hot steaks and potatoes with the garlic butter mixture.
