Delicious Cajun Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of shelled and deveined shrimp
- 3 teaspoons of Cajun spice
- 1 tablespoon of canola oil
- 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
- 1/4 cup of chicken broth
- 1/4 cup of white wine
- 1/4 cup of lemon juice
- 1/4 cup of minced parsley
- 1/4 cup of butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
- In a mixing bowl, coat the shrimp with Cajun spice.
- Grease the bottom of a slow cooker with canola oil and evenly distribute the seasoned shrimp.
- Pour chicken broth, white wine, lemon juice, and minced garlic over the shrimp.
- Cook on low for 2.5 to 3 hours or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
- Just before serving, toss in the butter, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Ensure the shrimp are well-coated with the sauce by giving everything a good stir.
Tips and Variations:
- Increase the amount of Cajun spice or add red pepper flakes for a spicier kick.
- Substitute apple cider vinegar for white wine to reduce alcohol content.
