Crispy Air Fryer Golden Chicken Delight
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of chicken pieces (legs, thighs, breasts)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for added heat)
- Cooking spray
Directions:
- Marinate the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off. Coat each piece thoroughly in the flour mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (199°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Arrange the chicken pieces in the basket without overcrowding them. Lightly spray the chicken with cooking spray.
- Cook for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.
