Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Preparation

1. Prepare the Batter:

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and eggs.
  • Gradually add the milk and water, stirring continuously until well combined.
  • Incorporate the salt and melted butter, beating until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.

2. Heat the Pan:

  • Lightly oil a griddle or frying pan and heat it over medium-high heat.
  • Pour approximately 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each crepe.
  • Tilt the pan in a circular motion to evenly coat the surface with the batter.

3. Cook the Crepes:

  • Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, or until the bottom is lightly browned.
  • Use a spatula to loosen the edges, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.

4. Serve:

  • Serve the crepes hot, garnished with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and fresh berries such as strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries.
  • For additional flavor, add whipped cream, Nutella, or your favorite toppings.

Tips:

  • Ensure the batter is smooth and lump-free. Using a blender can help achieve this consistency.
  • The pan should be hot enough to cook the crepe quickly without burning it.
  • Don’t be discouraged if the first crepe isn’t perfect; it’s common for the first one to be a test. Adjust the heat as necessary and continue.
