Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread (white, wheat, sourdough, or your preferred type)
- 2-3 slices of cheese (Cheddar, Swiss, Gouda, or your favorite variety)
- 1-2 tablespoons of butter
Instructions:
- Preheat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, into the heated pan.
- Layer the cheese slices evenly on top of the bread in the pan.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook until the bottom slice of bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt, approximately 3-5 minutes.
- Using a spatula, carefully flip the sandwich.
- Continue cooking until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted, another 3-5 minutes.
- Remove the sandwich from the pan and let it cool for a minute or two.
- Optionally, cut the sandwich in half and serve hot.
