Honey Butter Skillet Corn
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of butter (preferably salted)
- 2 teaspoons of honey
- 1 bag (16 oz.) of frozen corn
- 2 ounces of cream cheese, cut into chunks
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt the butter and honey over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted, add the frozen corn.
- Cook the corn, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 8 minutes until tender.
- Add the cream cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and the ingredients are well combined.
- Continue cooking for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Serve immediately. Store any leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate. The dish remains fresh for several days when properly stored.
Notes
This recipe typically serves six, but you can easily stretch it to eight servings if serving young children.
While any variety of frozen corn can be used, golden and white corn is highly recommended for its flavor. Ensure you use a 16-ounce (1-pound) bag of frozen corn.
