Cabbage Fritters Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups finely shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying

Directions:

  1. In a sizable mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, all-purpose flour, grated Parmesan cheese, finely chopped green onions, eggs, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika. Ensure thorough incorporation until a homogeneous mixture is achieved.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a generously sized skillet over medium heat until it reaches an optimal frying temperature.
  3. Scoop approximately 2 tablespoons of the cabbage mixture and carefully shape it into a compact patty. Gently place the patty into the preheated oil. Repeat this process with the remaining mixture, frying the patties in batches to ensure even cooking.
  4. Allow the fritters to cook for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they attain a desirable golden brown hue and a satisfying crispness.
  5. Once fully cooked, delicately transfer the fritters from the skillet onto a layer of paper towels to drain any excess oil. Serve promptly while still piping hot.
